In the export of our statistics, you can see how long the viewer stayed in the video (in total seconds) and at what point in the video they opted out.

How to access this data

  1. Go to Measure or Statistics

  2. Scroll down to Export statistics

  3. Click on Show download options

  4. Choose the sheet Users

  5. Click on Start export

  6. In the export, take a look at the columns 'Furthers point in video reached' and 'View duration in seconds'

Progress flags

If you want to keep even better track of what part of the video people watch (or skip), you can add progress flags.

These behind-the-scenes markers divide your video into small segments. The viewer doesn't see or notice this setting. You set the progress markers to extract more info from the video statistics. You can see very precisely which points (flags) in the video have been viewed. Of course, also this feature is available per view session.

How to set up the progress flags

  1. Go to the Video settings

  2. Go to the tab Collect viewer data

  3. Click on Add markers to track video progress

How to read the progress flags statistics

  1. Go to the video statistics

  2. Scroll down to Export statistics

  3. Export the video progress sheet

The texts True and False indicate which flags were passed during a viewing session.

Of course, also this feature is available per view session.
